Job Summary

Short-Term, Part-Time Non-Exempt

The Note Taker provides academic support to a student with a documented disability
1.) Provides accurate, detailed, and legible notes.
2.) Provides class notes to the student or the Disability Access Services at the end of each scheduled class session.
3.) Maintain accurate records for: a) each note taking session, and b) payroll purposes.
4.) Must be able to work independently.
5). Will provide assistance in science lab and must follow lab requirements set forth for all students.

Note Takers are typically students who are also enrolled in the class in which the student with a disability needs academic support.

Minimum Qualifications

1.) Must attend all scheduled class sessions.

2.) Students hired in this capacity are not eligible for Aims tuition reimbursement.

3.) Copies of the notes from the Note Taker will be made by the staff of Disability Access Services or NCR paper is provided to note takers for the purpose of duplicating class notes.

4.) Knowledge of Chemistry preferred.
